Overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotels and similar establishments, tourism in rural areas and lodging tourism and local accommodation increased by 8,1% in November 2019 compared with November 2018. From January to November, overnight stays increased by 17,1% compared with the same period in 2018. Overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotels and similar establishments increased by 5,5% in November 2019 compared with November 2018. From January to November, overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotel establishments increased by 5,1% compared with the same period in 2018; overnight stays spent by residents increased by 9,9% and overnight stays spent by non-residents increased by 1,3%. Guests registered an increase of 10,1% in November and an increase of 4,5% from January to November. In November 2019, the average stay was 2,59 nights (-4,1%) and the bed occupancy rate stood at 29,5% (1,0 p.p.). Total revenue increased and revenue from accommodation increased by 10,1% in November 2019. RevPar was EUR 20,1 and registered an increase of 8,6%. Overnight stays spent in the Azorean local accommodation increased by 18,3% in November 2019 compared with November 2018. From January to November, overnight stays spent in the Azorean local accommodation increased by 52,2% compared with the same period in 2018; overnight stays spent by residents increased by 36,7% and overnight stays spent by non-residents increased by 59,4%.
