In the Azores, bank card purchases using POS reached a total value of 141 million euros in April, a year-on-year increase of 17.2%.
Withdrawals at ATM reached an amount of 46.6 million euros, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%.
The Azoreans are older, despite continuing to register the lowest aging ratio in the country. The ratio between elderly and young people in the Region is 113.19, although it is heterogeneous in terms of island, municipality and sex.
