Overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotels and similar establishments, tourism in rural areas and lodging tourism and local accommodation increased by 11,9% in September 2019 compared with September 2018. From January to September, overnight stays increased by 17,2% compared with the same period in 2018. Overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotels and similar establishments increased by 2,2% in September 2019 compared with September 2018. From January to September, overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotel establishments increased by 5,0% compared with the same period in 2018. Overnight stays spent by residents increased by 10,2% and overnight stays spent by non-residents increased by 1,2%. Guests registered an increase of 1,5% in September and an increase of 3,9% from January to September. In September 2019, the average stay was 3,07 nights (0,7%) and the bed occupancy rate stood at 62,3% (-2,2 p.p.). Total revenue increased by 9,8% and revenue from accommodation increased by 10,7% in September 2019. RevPar was EUR 63,1 and registered an increase of 6,9%. Overnight stays spent in the Azorean local accommodation increased by 43,6% in September 2019 compared with September 2018. From January to September, overnight stays spent in the Azorean local accommodation increased by 53,8% compared with the same period in 2018. Overnight stays spent by residents increased by 38,2% and overnight stays spent by non-residents increased by 60,8%.
