Overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotels and similar establishments, tourism in rural areas and lodging tourism and local accommodation increased by 10,2% in July 2019 compared with July 2018. From January to July, overnight stays increased by 15,8% compared with the same period in 2018. Overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotels and similar establishments increased by 0,7% in July 2019 compared with July 2018. From January to July, overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotel establishments increased by 5,1% compared with the same period in 2018. Overnight stays spent by residents increased by 10,6% and overnight stays spent by non-residents increased by 0,6%. Guests registered a decrease of 0,9% in July and an increase of 3,8% from January to July. In July 2019, the average stay was 3,08 nights (1,7%) and the bed occupancy rate stood at 70,5% (-0,4p.p.). Total revenue increased by 4,8% and revenue from accommodation increased by 4,3% in July 2019. RevPar was EUR 77,4 and registered an increase of 4,5%. Overnight stays spent in the Azorean local accommodation increased by 35,8% in July 2019 compared with July 2018. From January to July, overnight stays spent in the Azorean local accommodation increased by 50,7% compared with the same period in 2018. Overnight stays spent by residents increased by 36,2% and overnight stays spent by non-residents increased by 58,2%.
