Overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotels and similar establishments, tourism in rural areas and lodging tourism and local accommodation increased by 12,5% in February 2019 compared with February 2018. From January to February, overnight stays increased by 15,1% compared with the same period in 2018. Overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotels and similar establishments increased by 1,2% in February 2019 compared with February 2018. From January to February, overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotel establishments increased by 2,6% compared with the same period in 2018. Overnight stays spent by residents increased by 12,0% and overnight stays spent by non-residents decreased by 10,3%. Guests registered an increase of 15,3% in February and an increase of 10,7% from January to February. In February 2019, the average stay was 2,58 nights (-12,2%) and the bed occupancy rate stood at 29,0% (-0,4 p.p.). Total revenue increased by 15,0% and revenue from accommodation increased by 9,9% in February 2019. RevPar was EUR 18,5 and registered an increase of 7,6%. Overnight stays spent in the Azorean local accommodation increased by 67,3% in February 2019 compared with February 2018. From January to February, overnight stays spent in the Azorean local accommodation increased by 74,6% compared with the same period in 2018. Overnight stays spent by residents increased by 82,7% and overnight stays spent by non-residents decreased by 67,9%.
