Overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotels and similar establishments, tourism in rural areas and lodging tourism and local accommodation increased by 16,6% in November 2018 compared with November 2017. From January to November, overnight stays increased by 7,7% compared with the same period in 2017. Overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotels and similar establishments increased by 8,6% in November 2018 compared with November 2017. From January to November, overnight stays spent in the Azorean hotel establishments increased by 0,5% compared with the same period in 2017. Overnight stays spent by residents increased by 5,5% and overnight stays spent by non-residents decreased by 3,0%. Guests registered an increase of 14,3% in November and an increase of 3,1% from January to November. In November 2018, the average stay was 2,70 nights (-4,9%) and the bed occupancy rate stood at 28,3% (0,8 p.p.). Total revenue increased by 10,6% and revenue from accommodation increased by 12,7% in November 2018. RevPar was EUR 18,4 and registered an increase of 7,6%. Overnight stays spent in the Azorean local accommodation increased by 55,2% in November 2018 compared with November 2017. From January to November, overnight stays spent in the Azorean local accommodation increased by 35,2% compared with the same period in 2017. Overnight stays spent by residents increased by 19,3% and overnight stays spent by non-residents decreased by 44,2%.
